Janna D. Akins, Attorney
A native of Blairsville, Janna graduated from Union County High School in 1997. Janna received her Bachelor of Science in Management from Georgia Tech in 1999, with minors in history and finance.
During her undergraduate studies, Janna also attended Oxford University located in Oxford, England.
In 2001, she obtained a Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A.) while living and working in the Washington, D.C. area, where she was employed by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
In 2004, Janna received her Juris Doctorate degree from Emory University. During law school, Janna clerked for
Justice Harris Hines of the Georgia Supreme Court. Following her admission to the bar, Janna joined a small firm in Canton, Georgia where she practiced in the fields of juvenile, real estate, and family law.
Janna returned to her hometown of Blairsville, Georgia in 2006 and opened a small practice in the town in which she grew up. Janna focuses primarily in the areas of family law, juvenile law, real estate, wills and probate, and general litigation.
In 2007, Janna began serving as the City Attorney for the City of Blairsville, and
continues to act in that capacity. She also represents the Union County Development Authority.
Outside of work, Janna loves to spend time with her husband, her two young daughters, and son. She
also enjoys traveling and running.

Daniel is a life-long resident of Union County, graduating from Union County High School in 2002. After high school, Daniel attended Georgia Tech in Atlanta, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management in 2006, with a certificate in pre-law and finance. After college, Daniel worked as a supervisor in a family logistics business before making the decision to obtain a legal education.
Daniel attended law school and earned his Juris Doctorate from Emory Law School in 2011. Daniel graduated in the top third of his class at Emory Law School, and interned with Atlanta Legal Aid while attending law school.
After law school, Daniel joined the firm as an attorney practicing primarily in the areas of wills trusts and estates, real estate, personal injury, corporate law, and general litigation.
Outside of work, Daniel enjoys traveling, golf, Georgia Tech athletics, and spending time with his family.
